Hydroblasting and painting operations on the vessel GEORGIA S (Bulk Carrier)
Anastasios Ventouris Maritime & Industrial Applications, with many years of experience in ship maintenance and refurbishment, undertook and successfully completed a demanding technical project on the cargo ship “Georgia G” of Golden Star Ferries, owned by the Stefanou brothers.
The maintenance process included:
• High-pressure hydroblasting at 1,200 bar on the ship's holds and deck, ensuring the removal of old coatings and contaminants, thus preparing the surfaces for new protective painting.
• Application of a new coating system, aimed at optimal resistance to the corrosive marine environment and long-term protection of the vessel.
